For those of you who don’t know it yet: Today is Macworld in SF and Steve Jobs’ keynote starts in a half an hour or so. Engadget usually has great coverage of the event. If you miss it, you can certainly find all the goodies afterwards on Apple’s website and in the store.

In what should be no surprise to most of the group, my response is “Meh.”
It’s an 8G iPod w/ a touch interface and phone glommed onto it.
The iTv is more impressive, and that’s just Apple’s version of a TiVo — except no Cable/Antenna input. Just a streaming box. Coupled with the Paramount announcement, it’s still mildly cool.
I was really hoping the tablet rumour would come true. THAT quite possibly would have been enough to make me run out and buy an actual Apple computer.
At the very least they could have announced/released the (inevitable) 100G iPod based on the 1.8″ 100G drive that Toshiba just announced. You know one is coming — Apple is the primary, and typically first, purchaser of Toshiba’s new drive products.
My thoughts on the iPhone are pretty well summed up on my journal. That being said, I was very surprised that the Mac, Leopard, iLife, iWork and the rest got no mention whatsoever.
