Announcing myTwinCities

02.12.08

Team etherdust has been busy too — although not as busy as Team Trixie!

I just launched a new photoblog site called myTwinCities. It will host my Twin Cities photography (not concerts) and hopefully garner the occasional print sale.
The domain name was pure luck, it was just available when I thought to check its status.

Patrick, now you know why your tag-cloud bio idea wouldn’t work.

Scottie’s Podcast, Episode 2: Geek Wars

02.14.06

Episode 2 of my podcast is now available via download from my website or by subscribing to the iTunes music store podcast feed. Please give it a listen. I think you will find it much improved this week. Fellow geek Tim G. has a recurring 5 minute open source segment called “Take Five with Tim”. We are having fun with it. At least I am.

It starts…Scottie’s Podcast

02.10.06

Well, I finally did it. I have put together my first podcast of a series I hope to keep up-to-date regularly. You can subscribe to it in iTunes here or go to my website and view it here. I have to give a HUGE thanks to Photoshop extraordinaire Ryan Payne (aka laweranceoak here on the blog) for creating the graphic for me. Please give it a listen and give me some feedback. Does it suck, was it OK, should I do this, should I do that, more of this, less of that, etc. Pick it apart and let me know. Thanks geeks.

Apple’s 1984 Super Bowl Ad 3rd all-time

02.04.06

CBS just aired “Super Bowls Greatest Commercials Top 40″ this evening and Apple’s 1984 ad took 3rd place as voted on by the viewers.
Apple 1984 Ad

My favorite has to be “Terry Tate, the office linebacker”, man that was funny.

The good news is that after there 14th attempt, godaddy.com finally got approved to run a super bowl ad. You can read that story here.

sex.com sells for $12M or $14M

I should have registered it in the 90′s when I had the chance. Read the CNN story here.

digg.com had the story and they said $14M. Read the digg.com post here.

The Joy of Tech

01.26.06

I noticed that some of you are not familiar with The Joy of Tech, yet. I enjoy their comics on a regular basis and would recommend you take a look. Here are a couple of links to my most recent favorites: Macworld 2006Macbook Pro?IntelInside
