Hey,
Any Macheads interested in meeting at one of our local Apple Stores (preferably Roseville) to catch some Leopards next Friday? 6PM is the official launch, which means a quick trip over there after work. All hail 10.5!

There’s been a growing trend of InfoSec meetups from a group called CitySec. Well, someone finally got around to arranging a MinneSec. I’ll be there. There are rules:
No vendor pitches. No compliance check box Olympics. No membership dues. No PHB.
Geeks,
We started a blog for sustainable architecture at LOCUS Architecture. We are just getting off the ground, so don’t expect oodles of content just yet. I am also just learning how to administer a blog in general – I will have questions when we congregate next week ;) Any suggestions and recommendations are welcome – so is Continue reading LOCUS Blog (beta) now live→
Rich, Tim Erlin, and I decided to hang out tomorrow afternoon at 4 and watch Revolution OS. Rich may bring his X-box and I may grab a projector for it. Anyone interested is welcome to join. Just give me a quick heads-up if you would.
Geeks,
My firm (LOCUS Architecture) is currently developing Red Square, a commercial building on Central Ave in the Northeast Arts District – you may have heard the radio spots for it on MPR’s The Current. It will offer 40k+ square feet of environmentally conscious commercial and retail space on 4 floors. You can find more info on Redsquare’s website. The plans for the building have been extremely well received in the planning phase and we are now looking to fill it with tenants. Feel free to pass on the link if you know of people who may be looking to own commercial space.
For those of you who don’t know it yet: Today is Macworld in SF and Steve Jobs’ keynote starts in a half an hour or so. Engadget usually has great coverage of the event. If you miss it, you can certainly find all the goodies afterwards on Apple’s website and in the store.
I was going to mention this yesterday but I didn’t get to it. I had to recently get my credit card renewed due to fraudulent activity by two online outfits: CCBILLEU and EUROCG.com. Both for smaller amounts and supposedly for subscription services. As I was talking to Visa, they realized that those are fraudulent operations and that my credit card had been compromised. So, while I am waiting for a new card, I just wanted to alert all of you to the fact. It pays to check those statements every once in a while. Unfortunately, I have no further information on how this happend and how many people are affected by it. Just be on the lookout.
